American Travesty
A buffoon,
Cruel and desperate,Cheered by his foolish crowd,Laughing at trauma,Turning pain into sport.Wrapped in scandal,Driven by greed,A con man in the officeWe once believed.Never has a presidencyFallen so low,So drenched in contemptThat even scorn rings hollow.Watch as our republic diesIn the vacant eyesOf a fool drunk on false majesty,Unable to summon humanityBut there he sits,Behind the seal,Mocking us all
While fools applaud.
And so unfolds our somber American travesty.
