They tell me
Leave it at home
For the problems of this morning
Conflict with progress of the day
And learning is not done
When my mind is far away
Worries of the future
And problems from the past
Must be locked away inside myself
Hidden by this mask
The pain inside must never ever show
For the truth is what they tell me at this learning place
I go
As an educator and as one of these kids myself, I want to remind people to listen to them even and especially when they are silent.
